Waterman Expert info needed
(Preview)
I just got in a fantastic lot of modernish waterman goodies. le man 200's, gentleman, laureat experts and on and on. In the lot are a couple of Waterman Expert (||?) with a black 'diamond' on the nib. it looks like it's part of the feed set into a cut out on the nib. I'm not familiar with modern pens very much...

Waterman end cap
(Preview)
The reason that got me started on fountain pens is I lost the end cap of my Waterman Laureat II. I realized it must have gotten loose somehow and fell out of my bag. I finally found a replacement for it and I really don't want the same thing to happen again. What would you kind folks suggest by way of preventi...

Latest acquisition
(Preview)
From a very good friend in Québec! The pen needs a soak and a sac, and I think it once had a top ring on the cap. Otherwise it's in beautiful condition. -- Edited by Chthulhu on Monday 10th of May 2010 12:36:08 PM

100 year pen
(Preview)
Here's a Waterman 100 year pen I gave $26.50. I really liked this pen and I tried to get someone to do the celluloid on both ends and the clip. Found out one restorer wanted $150 and another said forget it as unless it had some familial attachment then get rid of it as the cost would be prohibitive. Sen...

52 1/2 rhr waterman with gold bands top and bottom of cap no ring
(Preview)
I've been looking at a described by owner as a 52 1/2 rhr with no ring on top of the cap and gold bands both at the top and bottom of the cap. Not real familiar with waterman yet, but all I've seen in the rhr 52 1/2 had a ring at the top and only one gold band at the bottom of the cap worth around $50. Does anyone kn...

Waterman cartridges
(Preview)
I have a couple of boxes of Waterman cartridges. They are straight, except for one thickened section (as if it had a translucent plastic very wide band). The point is: These are certainly not the International/European ones, as they are just straight (without the band), but they don't fit my CF eith...

Carene: leaks 'n' squeaks
(Preview)
Always has. This is a tomato-red Carene, M nib, purchased from an art supply store about ten years ago, maybe longer, and was my first big-ticket pen. But since day one, it has leaked and squeaked. I love the look and feel of the pen and apart from the squeak, it writes well enough. But the leak always oc...

I discovered there was a stray black Waterman Gentlemen section & feed in the parts bin sans nib. Remembered there's a sterling section w/ correct nib here now. Waterman 412 1/2 - Safety
(Preview)
I'm actually selling this pen pen currently on eBay but have noticed that many of the Waterman's with this designation don't have nibs that retract into the pen and have the typical long cap. Should this one be called a ladies pen or just a safety? Any experience with this model? PeteWK

The Sleeve: Odd Filling System

I've become facinated lately with odd filling systems. One of the first ideas at overcoming Conklin's market prowess was Waterman's sleeve filler. Just slide the feed back and press on the bar to compress the pen sac. PeteWK

I won this the other day from the good folks at Penboard_DE. The description says it's an early 50's Contineltal overlay in rolled gold w/ a BB nib. This is only the 3rd one of these I've ever seen. I can't wait to get it in & take it for a ride! The pics are lifted from the auction & belong to Tom Weist...
