Maybe I'll send you a photo of my transparent green 100 year Waterman for your birthday.  The photo, not the pen, I'm afraid.

Yes, Jack, I can see why they would be amongst your favourites.  The colour is intense.

Is the irridescent red normally that apparent, or is it due to the flash photography?  I've not seen such Watermans pens before.

Would they date from the mid to late 1940s?

Gerard.

Hi Gerard,

You surmised correctly, the intense color is indeed from the camera flash.  I definitely need a new digital camera.  The one I have (an old 2.1 MP Olympus) is obsolete and on its' last legs.  I would guess it's a 40's vintage set.

Here is a great article on the 100 yr pens. It will help you determine what model & version you have.

mmmm yummy green

My birthday was great, spent it here at the house with the family just kicking back & doing as much nuttin' as possible. It would have been even better if I'd found that green monster next to the cake.biggrin

Indeed.

I have always loved 100 yr pens. I've seen some simply stupefyingly large & flexible nibs in those beauties.

I just looked through both of my photobucket accounts and unbelievably, I simply don't have any 100 yr pen pics except this one. I know I've shot a dozen or so over the years. Wonder what happened to the pics?

Here's one that crossed my bench several years ago.

Late 4th generation model.
