Brause fountain pens?
Permalink Closed

I just received this Brause 3010 pen from an eBay seller. It has a very smooth nib, between a medium and a broad as best I can tell; I'm still soaking old ink out of the feed. It came with a dried-out short international cartridge in it, but looking down inside the barrel I see a shoulder that I'd expect the end of the cartridge to rest against, which leads me to think a different cartridge belongs in there. I can keep tinkering with what I have on hand, but if anyone knows what cartridge should be in there, please tell me!

I'd also like to know when the thing was made; styling suggests mid-50s to mid-70s to me.

Aha! Our Canadian friend has a model 3000 pen, quite similar in design to mine:

It looks as though that shoulder in the barrel is a stop for the "coupler" that lets the barrel hold two short international cartridges.

The details are different, including the screw-on cap, but overall it looks similar to my green Parker 45 in the plastic and overall style.
