It was the only stuff they had at Ace Hardware. I understand that if it is not 100% silicone that I don't want it, but I don't see ingredients anywhere.
If it's all silicone, it will be pretty much colorless and odorless. If it's not clear or translucent, and/or has an odor, it's a blend. I know Danco also packages a "plumber's grease" that is either a blend or all petroleum-based, in the same sort of package as the silicone, and usually pegged in the same faucet repair section in hardware stores.
If there's a dive shop anywhere near you, you can get 100% silicone grease from there; it's used extensively on o-rings in breathing gear.
Failing that, there are several on-line sources for small quantities of 100% silicone grease, and more sources for larger quantities.

If it's blended with a petroleum grease, it can stain and/or weaken some vintage materials. If it's blended with a solvent (unlikely in this particular product) it can dissolve or soften some materials.
I ended up ordering a converter kit, complete with Platinum Preppy, from Goulet Pens. It includes syringes, grease, and o-rings! I love dealing with Goulet Pens.
I got my RED Danco pkg from L owes and if I remember correctly, it's upstairs and I'm down stairs right now, but anyway, the red pkg gives the ingredients on it's label, this was 1 month ago.....
