I've asked this question before and elsewhere, and have yet to get an answer. :-/
Does anyone know what the thread size and pitch are on Renew Points? I'm playing with some pen designs and would like to work them around readily-available nib units, but don't have any of these on hand. Failing that, does anyone have a unit they'd be willing to donate to the cause? I do have the means to measure those threads.
Mike, you mean a renew-point nib/feed unit itself, or are you looking for a loose section? I do not have any loose sections, but I do have some points to spare!
Frank
PS- Congrats on the 1,000 post here!

Frank, what I need is a Renew-Point nib & feed unit; I'll be designing a section to fit those threads, with a conical seat as the patent drawing shows. I don't know when or if my designs will ever be made, but maybe ... some day ...
I'd like to find the same data for Pelikan, Schmidt, JoWo, and other available nib/feed units, but this seems to be truly esoteric!
I think you meant "1,000th Topic" since we have well over 5,000 posts logged.

I received Frank's gift today, and took some measurements:
The thread's major diameter mikes to 0.280 inches (probably 9/32), and the pitch is 36 TPI; it looks like a conventional thread form, just an uncommon pitch.
Still tinkering with ideas; when I have something to show, I'll show it.
I'm hoping to be able to adapt the design(s) with sections to accommodate other manufacturers' (Pelikan, Bock, etc.) nib units as well, if I can learn what those threads are.
