Montblanc 221

Hi all,

I have got a Montblanc 221 (kind of a 220 but piston filler, instead of the cartridge/converter). Surface finish is kind of a Lamy 2000 (straight scratches). It leaks through a hairline crack about mid high in the grip section.

First question: How should I seal it? Seems that most suitable should be a solvent welding. If so: Which would be the best solvent? Mek? Should I just melt it with an electric soldering pen and retouch surface finish instead?

Second question: Section doesn't seem to be difficult to disassemble, but: Is there anything in particular to take care of? At first sight it seems to be just friction fitted.

Thanks in advance.

Martin
