Nice work, home-made can be the best tools of all!
I have a little anvil that looks very similar to that blue one, only mine is gray and has been used so often most of the paint has long ago worn off.

1/4 by 3 inch alm bar
Then I just drilled some holes I thought I would need by looking at some sections I had in stock.
The bar was 6 inches long
legs are 2 X3
base 3 X 8

A couple of screws and Bob's your uncle.
