That thing at the end is an eraser.and belongs there.

There are three sizes of erasers that go into various Esties.

Leave the eraser in.
A real small eraser goes in the SL or SJ, a medium in the Double J and the big one in the Transitional barrel.

I have one of each, should I ever get off my fat ass, I want to go to Farber Castell and see if I can get a hundred of each for the Esterbrook world.

Ill need a stateside distributor. I dont see any reason to make money on this. But of course not lose money either.

In that its hard for you guys to get Euro stamps.or if it is not hard for you to get Euro stamps please tell me and I will get off my lazy ass sooner.

Two more esties arrived in the post today,

A crackin' black one, with a plain clip and a ridged top jewel and a 2314M nib, which is a lovely OM line. This one is staying with me.

And the other arrived today, a nice blue one (esterbrook on the clip), with a 9314F nib. This one is destined to be a christmas present for a friend of mine :)

I was going the Estie route but found an Airmail pen instead. Both are pens that were/are made to be used and bulletproof as well. These two brands are now ones that I would suggest to a beginner.
