One of my favorite mini-collections are the pastel Purse Pens from Esterbrook.

The matching purse pencils are a bit harder to find.

I recently added the gray purse pencil to my collection (not shown in above photo).

Fantastic as always Jack. Looks like your pretty close to a complete set. What are you still missing?

Dennis,

I am just missing Purse Pencils in:

Beige with Black Jewel
White with Black Jewel
Aloha Gold with Yellow Jewel
Tempo Red with Red Jewel
Polar White with White Jewel

If you know anyone (besides Frankie Tedesco, who is looking for me) that can assist, LMK

About when were these in their heyday? That's a great collection. How long have you been collecting them? How do you know that there are just those out there and not others?
cheers

Skyp,

The pastel purse Esties were manufactured in the mid 1950's starting in 1955, possibly into the late 50's.

I've been collecting them for about three years.  As far as other colors go, I've been told that there might be others but so far, the ones pictured are the only ones in my collection.

They are fragile little suckers and are prone to cap lip cracks and ink staining on the section threads.  The one's I have so far, are in perfect shape.
