What pens have yopu picked up recently & what do you have inked up right now?

It doesn't have to be a pen foundin the wild, ebay or the estate sale down the street. It couls be a pen you've rediscovered buried & lost in your collection for too long.

With me, I list most of my finds for sale, well, because thats what I do for a living..lol. There are a few pens that I come into that don't find their way to the sales block right away, or if they do I do my best to use them as much as I can before they find new homes.

Falling in to both categeorys is this standard size Grey Skyline with the most amazing flexible nib I got in from ebay the other day. Medium to BBB w/ out even thinking about it!

Here's the writing sample video I did for it.

The more I use this one the more I think it need to be pulled off the block & hang on to it for a while. I really really like it.

Another one that's been getting a field test work out is a sweet little Sheaffer Tuckaway (fine) FP,BP,MP Sentinel set. No pics yet but you probably know what they look like already right.

Then of course there is the ongoing flow tests on those funky Piston filling Ball Point's

Well three good pens have arrived in my house. One, a WASP addipoint from DWL. Today, I turn on football and play with my pens so I'll be inking it up today. By the way, what's the significance of the term "addipoint?"
Second is two Targas just arrived in Royal Mail from England. Let me see, there are about 150 different targas. Only 120 or so to go. I plan to be the first on my block to collect 'em all. Nah, not a chance. besides I only get the one's that I like (much less, afford) and have passed some up just because they didn't excite me.)

cheers

I picked this up last month. Rare Double Band Balance set. Missing the golf pencil. Excellent condition, no cracks, nearly perfect gold fill. The ink is full and seemingly never opened. Still has the original sticker.  Click on the pictures to see full size.

The only pen I have inked up right now is a Pelikan M200, one of those yellow ones that was part of a set that was made for that telecom company over in Germany. I received the pen last month as a birthday gift from a friend of mine and I absolutely love it!! Well, that one and a handful of Pilot Varsitys in various colors...lol...some stock colors, some refilled ;).

Two Pens Inked - One Pen on way
Permalink Closed

Today, I have just two pens inked - A Platinum Maestro with a Music nib and PR Orange Crush (good autumn color for the first day of October) and an Esterbrook Grey LJ with a 2284 nib and Sheaffer Royal Blue Skrip.

On the way to me is a nicer Sheaffer lever-fill Balance in Roseglow.

That nice mailman just brought me an Aurora Duo Cart 888.  It has one original cartridge and that little divider thingy but no converter.  I'll have to see if I can track down a Platinum Converter to fit it.

Well I went a little overboard on E-bay in the past two days and so have three pens winging their way to me:
A red sheaffer balance loaner (which will then make a U turn to Sherrell Tyree my "go to person" for sheaffer work. I'll ask her to resac it and see if the nib needs tweaking)
A carmine red sheaffer FP/MP set
A black swirl Targa Rollerball which I plan to convert to a FP.
And I'm still waiting on a Levenger True Writer in red. Anyday now...

So I plan on camping by the mailbox!
cheers

Parker silver hatched 75, (pre Fancy French name) Medium nib. My buy 35 years ago, one day when I had much too much money. Even bought the mechanical pencil too, it will take a ball point also.
Just rescued from the wife's jewelry box, when the addiction hit.

Inherited
Black Artus-Biallit (pre-Lamy, lamy) Fine point nib. Piston filler
Osmia-Farber-Castell (Osmia Supra nib ( I think it's fine flexible) Mottled black and gray piston filler. I like writing with it.
Esterbrook pearl gray, 2968, broad. It writes well also.

Those are the only 4 with good nibs, the other need to be smoothed. I'm working on ordering some micro-mesh.
One expert says he uses 10,000, but all I find is 8,000 and 12,000, so far.

I'm sort of new to this, only got one bottle of ink. Pelikan Royal Blue. I was happy to find that Plikan is a good ink, in that for me it is local.

Going to learn how to write too.
I find my self just writing with each pen to look at the width and how they write....so odd, to me.
