I found styluses (styli?) at a crafts store and they look like burnishing tools as described elsewhere. I'm also attempting to make some of Ron Zorn's cheap tools. I mean, if I can't make those, then I have no business trying this all in the first place, right? But this is going to be a long process and I'm going to take my time. Funky first thing I learned while trying to make a punch from a nail: Don't do any work if you plan to go out in the next 30 minutes or so because the goggles leave marks on your cheeks.
