HisNibs.com update -- Duke #209 Flighter and #962 Mondrian

Greetings all,

Two updated Duke series capture the limelight in this newsletter.

Years ago I carried the #209 series http://hisnibs.com/duke_209.htm, but
they became unavailable to me other than in the Flighter dual-nib kit
http://hisnibs.com/209_calligraphy.htm. Back in stock are the individual
steel Flighter versions -- western or Chinese calligraphy nib -- as well as
the Matte Black version with gold highlights.

All-new is the Mondrian versions (blue, red and yellow) of the #962 series
http://hisnibs.com/duke_962.htm.

The Duke Pearl Waves http://hisnibs.com/pearl_waves.htm, introduced in the
last newsletter, have had a terrific reception and are almost sold out.

The Conklin Duragraph http://hisnibs.com/duragraph.htm has again been
re-stocked (fifth or sixth time I think). What a hit for Conklin!

DUKE #209 series



As this is a model that I carried many years ago, I no longer have customer
testimonials about these terrific, mid-sized pens. They were always
extremely popular and I was disappointed when they were no longer available
to me. I'm thrilled to have them back!

Referring to the Matte Black version: Here's a sleek, classy pen design,
with a matte black finish and gorgeous 22K gold-plated nib. A mid-sized pen,
it measures 5-1/4" capped, and just shy of 5-3/4" posted. Capped, the 209 is
minimally highlighted by the gold of the curvaceous spring clip, and by the
center cap band, which is simply engraved with 'DUKE' and '209'. The bottom
of the barrel has a graceful sweep to its shape, added a distinctive
silhouette to the design.

Removing the slip cap, which securely clicks back into place, displays the
polished steel section, and the beautifully scalloped two-toned, 22K
gold-plated medium nib. This is perhaps the most beautifully engraved nib
I've seen on a pen in this price range. The DUKE 'crown' logo is used to
great effect, and it produces a stunning appearance.

DUKE #962 Mondrian series



The newest additions are the Mondrian series, which continue the abstract
painterly appearance of the Autumn Leaves -- but reminds one of Piet
Mondrian more directly.
