HisNibs.com update -- Secrets of the folded note!
January 31st, 2014

Greetings,

It's been awhile since I've made any pen-related videos and now have two new ones up on the homepage http://www.hisnibs.com/

One is a look at the Duke Multifunction http://www.hisnibs.com/brush_pen.htm pen kit, which contains a faux brush for Asian calligraphy or western drawing, as well as an interchangeable rollerball tip -- fed from the same ink source.

The second video is actually in response to a customer request a couple of years ago (I said I hadn't done videos in awhile)! The subject is 'His Nibs reveals the deep, dark secret of how he creates his folded notes'.

I was going to remind everyone that today is the last day of Lai Yee's pen roll promotion, but as I'm getting this newsletter out later than anticipated, let's extend it through February 3rd -- after we all recover from the Superbowl.

To quote from the last newsletter: "For the remainder of January, my wife Lai Yee is offering a free 6 or 10-pen poly pen roll http://www.hisnibs.com/pen_rolls.htm with the purchase of a regular $25.00 8-pen fabric/poly pen roll (in many different patterns)."

As this newsletter goes out to a mailing list of thousands of customers, please understand if there's a delay in answering your email queries or orders after one of these is sent. We will respond in order received and as soon as possible!

Join us on our Facebook HisNibs.com fan page which can be reached directly at http://facebook.com/hisnibs1. Come join us for what has become a lively meeting place for news about pens, ink and handwriting.

Duke Multifunction pen kit

Introducing a multifunction pen from Duke, which can convert from a faux brush for Chinese calligraphy to a rollerball tip, both fed by liquid ink.

The lacquer-over-brass pen measures 5-1/2" capped, 6-1/2" posted with brush (or 6-1/4" with rollerball), and 4-3/4" with cap held aside (4-1/2" for the rollerball).

How many words does your dog understand? Probably not nearly as many as you'd like. Well, Chaser the Border Collie knows more than 1,000 different words!

It's always disconcerting when your dog has a better vocabulary than you do.
