I've Been Very, Very Bad

I've been on a pen buying spree of sorts since Christmas 2012, with my wallet paying the price. I have to stop buying on impulse... Here are the pens I've picked up so far in 2013:

Cross USA BPs: Grey/gold Century 1: A not-so-common color combo that I didn't have before, this Century is in excellent condition, but for the dried up lube that makes the refill advance very sticky. I'll look at correcting that if I can.

Black/gold Century 2: The blk/gold Century 2 is flawless, and operates very smoothly. A perfect size pen that is very comfortable to use for a metal bodied pen.

Lamy BPs: Lamy 2000: The Lamy 2000 is light and delightful, saddled with a so-so refill. I bought this one brand new for under $50. I'll find a better refill when I have time.

Safari Vista: A transparent Vista BP has joined my charcoal and yellow models. With the BP, the triangular grip does not bother my writing style like the FP model does.

Japanese BP/Gel/Rollerball Pens: I decided to add a gold Pilot Metropolitan to pair up with the FP I already had. The Metro reminds me of a cheaper Knight, with a similar body shape and twist action. Like the FP, it is an excellent value and the gold finish is attractive and textured, not glossy. This makes it easy to grip, but not as elegant as more expensive gold plated pens. Pilot refills are top notch, and I don't plan on swapping this one out. Grabbed some black V-Balls and Precise V5RT needlepoints on clearance at KMart, and two skinny Pentel GraphGear 500 .07 MPs at Target.

Added a few clearance Uniball Jetstream RT's and Jetstream RT Premiers from local big box stores just because they were very cheap.

Rotring: A black, powder coated Rotring RapidPro that is made, (wait for it...) in Japan! The finish is near flawless on my pen, and while it (or any Rotring 600-type) will never be a truly comfortable writer, I can write with it longer than I can with the more slender TWSBI Precision BP. Good price from Amazon at $42.50 plus free shipping. The Rotring is very well made, but the black refill is lacking in boldness and smoothness.

Sheaffer USA: I added a second SS Sheaffer Sentinel BP and two NOS Sheaffer Viewpoint BPs at $4 each from a California dealer I use regularly. The translucent Viewpoints have lost some of their luster, but I may try some clear acrylic polish to see if I can help shine them up.

I may add some pics later for a couple of these, but most probably hold little interest to anyone other than me. That's ok - I enjoy every one of them!

Although I couldn't make it fit, I knew I'd have to try. Now I'm telling all of you, I will never buy....
