Here is an odd duck...A Garland Writing Instrument BP/MP set I was given by a professional friend. They are based in Rhode Island, and offer many custom advertising pens, and they do sell individual pens to people without ad material. The styling may be make or break, but the quality is as good as the US-era Cross pens, and they use refills that may or may not be Cross compatible. (I have not opened the pen yet to check.)

It's something different, for sure!
