Pelikan 400 piston removal
Permalink Closed

Hi all,

I have a Pelikan 400 (looks like a plain 400 from the fifties, neither 400N nor 400NN), brown striped, solid brown cap and knob. It was in rotation until last week when it lost almost every drop of (red) ink in one day (stored nib-end up).
As this topic was treated once or twice in this forum (and I've also checked my "Penpractice's" manual with similar results), I've US cleaned it several times (about 5-6 cycles of less than 5 minutes each), heated it with a hair dryer until it started to be hard to hold in my hands, tapped lightly the barrel a couple of times, and pushed from the inside with a wood stick. I've even tried Penpractice's suggestion (hammer). Results: It hasn't moved a single hair diameter's length.
What should I try next?
TIA
Martin
