Accidental ink test

So, yesterday I tested a couple of sheets of 25% cotton paper, samples from the local Kelly Paper store, with various pens and inks.

Last night, I poured myself a wee bit of good tequila, and as I turned to put the bottle away I hit the glass with my elbow, causing said tequila (Gran Centenario Anejo for those interested) to spill onto and over the papers.

The results were interesting, in spite of the loss of the tequila (I had more to console myself):

As you can see, Platinum Carbon Black, Noodler's Black, and Montblanc Blue-black all survived nicely, while the others suffered more or less horrbily (ignore the Ohto Black: the tequila didn't reach it on either sheet).

As a bonus, the paper smells *really* good now.

That is very interesting. I have always been a Noodlers fan. Nathan make some of the best ink out there IMHO.
