Parker VP - Advice needed

A friend of mine owns a Parker VP, which has a broken feed. I tried to fix it (drill a small hole on both pieces, glue it, re-grind ink channels...) but it is not exactly the best solution >cry.gif

Suggestions? Should I get a spare? Where? How much should I expect to pay for it? Should I sell the pen for him? How much would it be worth?

All the remaining parts are OK (cap, plastics, nib, "glass" necked piece for ink); no cracks, no dents, only small useage marks.

I'm trying to remember correctly. I THINK that a standard vacumatic feed will fit.

Thanks, Dennis. If so I don't have one. All my Vacs have kikd of straight feeds, while the VP one looks like a shorter 75's feed (Thick outside, thin inside).

I'll re-check if I have one.

I have a Parker VP in original condition with the removable feed. My Parker repair man says that if the feed gets broken then toss the pen, there are no replacement parts available. No one fixes these pens. They are not compatible with any other feed mechanism (Aeromatic, etc.). So I flushed mine out cleanly and put it way.

Thanks, highwayman. I've ended up getting this pen to myself and, a short time after, got a feed for it. I haven't worked on it again yet, but will soon do.
