Always a pleasure to find another fountain pen site. Pen people are among the nicest in the world. Personally, I'm a native New Yorker, did my undergrad and post-grad in Ohio. Was Ordained a Priest in Brooklyn, and have worked mainly in adult and juvenile jails, and have served probationers/parolees, and for the past 13 years, a certified Alcohol/Drug counsellor, and for the past two years working with dually-diagnosed clients (mentally ill with drug addiction). Have lived in many places across the country, from working with the gangs in LA and Chicago, to parishes in Ohio, PA, and AZ. Speak Polish, and am known as 'the priest who speaks Yiddish.' Became a pen-nik around 2006 via Jim Rouse and Bertram's Inkwell in Baltimore, and regularly haunt Bert Heiserman. Am a regular at the DC show. Much prefer oversized vintage pens of the 1920s, preferably Sheaffer Flat Tops; and all my pens should have Extra-Fine nibs. So, it is good to be among you as we share our main love. I wish those pens from the 20s could talk !
