I have been using fountain pens on and off for more than 50 years (yes, I'm an old timer) and have just started again.  Penmanship has always fascinated me and the most beautiful I have seen invariably seems to be done with the trusted fountain pen.

There is so much to learn.  I am currently using a Namiki Vanishing Point that was given to me.  However, I have just ordered some of the less expensive Chinese pens (Lanbitou, Baoer, Hero, and Jinhao) to experiment with.

I really need to learn more about the various inks and, especially, writing papers that are out there and hope to find lots of information here.
