Just to share with you all: I have buy a new "loupe". I was looking for: a) Lots of magnifying b) Low price c) Decent quality. I was able to give up some handling performance if necessary.
What did I get? A 12mm CCTV lens. +83 diopters is enough to clearly see the iridium pellets details. As a photographer, I already knew I was going to get a (very!!) shallow aparent depth of field. Focusing is really critical, that is.
OK. I still need my less powerful loupes for lots of things, but I am definitely use this new one for aligning tines and polishing tipping.
