I am always bitching at my dad about not using the pens that I make him and he say's that they get scratched up.
So seeing Francis new frosted Delrin I thought that would be a good solution.  As well he is always going on about how I never returned his tools from when I lived at home so I used one of his screwdrivers to hold the clip on the pen. So he got his screwdriver back (or the best part of it lol) and hopefully he will use this pen.

Chris, I think he means "Makrolon," a kind of polycarbonate. Lamy has used the stuff, apparently.

Actually I meant fibreglass-reinforced Makrolon the material that the Lamy 2000 has been manufactured from since it's inception.    The pen you turned has a look similar to the Lamy 2000's material of construction which is fibreglass-reinforced Makrolon.

What you really need to get a rod of is Primospire from Solvay.  It cuts like metal and polishes up to a mirror shine.  I've seen it machined so you can't see the joint.

very sweetly granted it's one of the more expensive plastics
