True, but some times one has to know about Urushi, to know what it is.
I have only read on it, looked at pictures....and added it to my after I hit the lottery list.

High status, is for those with enough money to recognize it in no matter what field it is. It is for others of high status to know....yep that ain't a cheap diamond encrusted Rolex.

Some times one needs a piece of paper or your decedents will throw it out.

I think many pens are over priced....and think buying them second hand the best deal; there the real value comes out.

A year ago before I knew anything about Ebay. There was a silk screen Urushi I was bidding on...luckily, I didn't know nothing about how to bid; and was bidding early.
After making some bids I was doing some reading, and looking at good Urushi.
My prayers were answered; someone out bid me.

Yep that pen sure looked pretty....like an affordable whore under a lamp post, and about so painted.

Today, it would have to have a at least a F-1 or better a F-2 flexible nib (Full Flexible but not a wet noodle), to make me buy a real Urushi pen.
If so, then the nib too....wouldn't mind some tasteful bling on the nib either, if it could match up to what ever I was looking for.
A subtle bling nib...that complements what ever pattern I would buy.
