Looks like The Peartree Pen Co is in the De Atramentis Inks business now. Who's tried them and what can you tell me about them?

Ryan and James are simply fantastic folks to work with. If you haven't shopped at TPTP co your just flat out messin' up & need to get there asap.

I've never had any "scented" inks, I have heard they smell at first but often fade quickly.
I've read that MB Christmas ink smells like a cross between Pine-Sol and Play Doh, kinda nasty sounding to me.
I have, however, heard the De Atramentis inks have very soothing and true-to-life scents, just read their Christmas inks in Blue smell like Marzipan [sweet almondy confection], Brown smells like fresh coffee [Mmmm, I like fresh-ground] and the Green is Fir or "Christmas Tree".
That might be kinda cool, having a good smelling ink to use with a Broad nib or especially a Broad Italic, adding to the writing experience.
Hmmm...

Noodler's Black (and other Noodler's inks, apparently) smells exactly like a day-old banana peel. Just thought I'd mention that. smile.gif
