I really like the swan safety. looks like it could have had a gold or silver overlay. Does anyone have one of these or a saved pic of one? I'd love to hear about it. I have yet to use a Swan I didn't just love.

Here's a handful that appeared in The Spectator (London) in 1925.

Anyone else see the similarities between the Swan Eternal and the present day CS Churchill.

Just received the MT boak by Mr. Moak and was paging through it. If Swan was still in business they'd be suing the pants off of CS for infringement!

From a Mabie Todd self-filler box- The Mabie Todd Swan is a lever fill, SM 100/60, Swan No. 1 nib. I don't have an approximate date for it. But one of the papers has a list of branches and factories and if we have information on where Mabie Todd held its offices before and after the war, we could estimate the date of the pen.

Very nice indeed. I don't suppose we could get so lucky that your pen may be in the adverts above? That would really help nail down a date.

Come to think of it, David Moak is the man you want to talk with. He's written a couple of books on MT. His email is info@mabie-todd.com. You'll need a pic of the pen for him to look at.

I checked the ads and no such luck. But thanks for the contact info. I'll email him with a pic and ask. smile
