Can you email me or pass a message along to have them contact me. I have a fist full of interesting pieces I'd like to get an ID & general pricing info.

Not to be flippant but did Papermate make BPs that were worthy of collecting?

believe it or not, there were several BP manufacturers in the 50's that had some very cool stuff.

I've seen some eye popping BPs but didn't think that Papermate got into that higher end stuff.

I have some nice white metal/chrome pinstripe models that just pop.

I have one of those DWL! The clip pushes in to retract the point.

I also have an original "Eraser Mate" in aluminum in it's case. (dried up)
The case it dated '78 from Gillette! I did not even know they owned PaperMate then!

It's cool- the instructions advise against using the pen to write checks, and that it takes several hours for the ink to become permanent.

IIRC there were 2 or 3 Capri models. They sold in ebay quite a while ago.

My first Capri mk III was in mint condition with original Jumbo refill still working and it's a 50s pen.

Those Jumbo refills last a *long* time. I wish I could find a few of the little "Piggyback" refills in working condition, though.

I had one in the pen and one in the sealed envelope with my Lady Capri, couldn't get either to work, I made a refill from part a cut down refill from a multipen, used sellotape to make a springstop. With pens that take two Piggybacks inline a modern lubriglide fits.
