Omas created a D-Day commemorative series back in 1994, fifty years after the event. Unlike so many other Limited Editions and Commemorative things, Omas decided to forgo fancy gimmicks, jewels, bright colors and decoration and instead to create an understated edition that would reflect the seriousness of the event.
The pen itself is done in an olive green vegetal resin with a simple brass cap that has an anodized aluminum finish. The box reflects the light blue of the sky, the dark blue of the sea, the red blood that was shed and the pure white of spirit. The pen was delivered inside an aluminum container patterned after the GI Med pack. There were 5300 pens total worldwide, one for each vessel that took part in the armada.
So here is the #1676 of the Omas D-Day Commemorative.
