My New Mandarin Yellow Edison Glenmont FP
Permalink Closed

My new Edison Herald Pen arrived from Brian Gray several days ago.  At my request, he made the pen entirely out of mandarin yellow stock and at this time, it is a one-of-a-kind pen..  As usual, Brian did a very good job on it.  I had him fit my pen with a gold clip to match the buttery smooth fine 18K Edison optional nib he offers.  Another choice I made on the pen was to have it fitted with a converter; he could have also done it as an eyedropper, however knowing the vulnerability of yellow material to stain, I opted for the former.

Dimensions:

Length (capped) - 145mm
Length (unposted) - 130mm
Length (posted) - 169mm
Cap Diameter: 14mm
Body Diameter: 13mm
Clip Length: 40mm
Nib: Edison Fine 18K (Germany) - just tested - lays down a nice fine line with slight to moderate flex with a flow wetness of about 7 out of 10 using PR DC Supershow Blue.

The attached photos are from Brian (my digital is kaput and will be replaced in the near future)

Brian normally fits his Glenmonts with black sections and end caps as can be seen on the following pen.  I elected to have him do my entire pen in mandarin yellow.

Enjoy looking.

Jack,

It really is a nice pen! I got to see these pens at the Philly show!
Brian is a great guy; very helpful. I got to try a Glenmont, and a Pearl.
One had Brian's new 18K nib.

I will be taking the plunge on one of these soon! Have you considered one of his Demo models yet? Like you, they are my favorite pens! The Glenmont I was using was the new Tortoise type.

My next Edison might very well be a demonstrator and possibly a bulb-filler. I agree; Brian is top-notch.
