The Philadelphia Pen Show is this weekend!
It's Friday thru Sunday at the Sheraton (Center City)
17th and Arch Streets.

$8 admission
I will be there Saturday afternoon.
Who else is going?

The show was, as always, worth the trip! It was in one large room this year, as opposed to two adjoining rooms. It was great to see Brian Gray's Edison Pens in person. The quality of his pens cannot be matched for the price!

I also saw most of the pen repair "guru's" - Aaron (Pentiques), Ron Z, and Richard. There were some vendors with "parts pens"; no one really selling parts. I only noticed pen sacs/tools available from FPH.

The retailers there included FPH, HisNibs, Swisher Pens, and Bertram's Inkwell. Bert of Bertram's Inkwell runs this show every year in January.
I highly recommend this show if you're in the area late January!

I know it's surprising Jack, but I did not buy any pens! disbelief
I went there to get a couple of converters, and a couple of pens "tuned' up. There were some nice items, but nothing said "have to have".

I did the circuit of the large single room and was amazed by the number of vintage pens and by the high prices of them. Guess I'm still not comfortable with a huge price difference being based on a very specific information.

You are right about the prices! But, it's good to go to see items first hand.
It's great to put faces with names too!

I go to shows mainly to get stuff repaired! Don't have to wait days or weeks this way! We are spoiled too by being in driving distance to both the Philly and NYC show!
