A friend of mine Ryan R. authors a blog on FP's & related pen goodies. I really suggest everyone, seasoned or green to stop by and have a read. It's well worth the time. There are a lot of quality links to products, pics, other sites & a lot more. I REALLY enjoyed his series on pens for $100, $80, $50, $30 or less.
He's in town this weekend & I'm about to go have dinner with him and his wife. I'm going to put him in a submission hold until he agrees to get over here & start posting. if we are REALLY lucky, perhaps we can talk him into running or at the very least contributing to the Conklin forum.

A very nice blog indeed; he makes some great photo's!
I owned a Conklin Glider in the spring of 2006. It was black resin and came with a medium steel nib. Due to a very flawed ink channel OR a very bad converter it was a small punishment to write with this pen. I flushed the pen many times, but things didn't improve. Sold it.
These modern Conklin's come in gift boxes that look like 19th century public houses. If a penmaker disguises bad quality like that....

because of his review on conklin victory, i went ahead and bought my self a set (FP and pencil) in blue. very nice writer.... nothing like i hear out there about the conklin issues with feed and such.
Sweet! I'm sure Ryan will be delighted to hear about the buy & your pleasure on it. If your feeling up to it, why not write up a review on it, size, weight, overall qualty, yoiur impressions of the nib, flow, balance & anything else you can think to add to it.
A writing sample & pics would be cool too. nudge nudge...lol

For the record, Dennis didn't need to pull out the chokehold to get me in here...I've been registered for at least four months. Just haven't had the time to post.
Now...let me hear from the people who've got these starving Conks...I've pretty much got the fix figured out for the most part.
