I've always enjoyed drawing & sketching. Over the past 20 years or so I've developed a style I call Sublininal Abstract. I use FP's, ink & good acid free paper. Here are some of what i have in my folio. Most of thes are a few years old but I still enjoy them. 

When I do these, I turn up the music, sort of step away mentally & watch my hand move. I honestly don't 'see' the piece until it's signed & finished. I never have a plan or idea what it's going to look like. They just sort of happen. My wife says it's a direct tap into my subconscience, but I don't know about that.

Does that sound too strange?

Thanks. The first one "Manifestation of the enchantment" is my favorite as well. it's the only one I have ever framed. It's on the wall to my right, next to the workbench.

Thanks for the link. How often do you get over there? I'd love to visit it someday.

I like them all. Personally, I have little or no artistic or musical talents. If I can't cap[ture it on film, I give up.

Thanks for the kind words Jack.

I've never been able to carry a tune or play an instrument, no matter how hard i tried. I just don't have the musical gene in there. I love to sing though, sadly, my voice sounds like a box full of wrenches thrown in a metal trash can & kicked down a flight of concrete stairs..lol.

At least I have this I can enjoy doing, even if they aren't very good in a 'classical' sense.

"There is something in your hair" is very attractive too.

It is a nice place to visit, but the security people are rather boorish.

Very close to the museum (which is build in a park) one can visit this "castle", which was built around WWI by some very rich couple:

Thanks again. It seems most folk gravitate to that one, manifestation & a couple of 3 or 4 others out of the 200 plus pieces I've done. Sorrow is another folks seem to like. (I personally love it, but hey I'm biased...lol)

That castle....

I'm envious that you live near so much history. There are several historic sites in this area (Lewis & Clark  passed through this area on their westward exploration & more) but nothing compared to what you get to enjoy.

Great, isn't it? My better half gave me a book about the history and design of the building.
A guided tour costs $3. When converted to todays money, it cost $400 million to built...
