parkette from 1950's

i understand that people categorize the parkette as a second or even third tier pen. it sports a steel nib, nothing fancy, just like the P21 standard. as far as i know is the only lever fill pen ever made by parker!!??... very simple design from cap to section/nib... etc.

i don't know if it's only me, but i really like this little pen. i own the 50's model in grey with black section. the fine point steel nib is a delight!!!! it is my signature pen (for signing docs, that is) along with my P61 and eversharps (that i don't take out as much).

they are not very common out on ebay. at least i've only seen one out there at the "pen shop in memphis", for $40. i got mine from Bob at that same ebay store and paid $24 for it. he usually sells them with new sac installed, which is pretty good.

anyways,  i wanted to know what your thoughts on this pen were?? how do you compare this model with that of the 30's??... and... is it 2nd or third tier pen??? wink
