hi roller,
i use the swisher ink. it's made by noodlers and it dryes extremely fast. the cocoa, specially dryes as fast as you write... no joke. here is the site (no affiliation).

if it doesn't take you directly to the swisher brand ink just look for ink and click, then bottled ink, then the shwisher brand.

Being a collector whose specialties include white, yellow and demonstrator pens, all of which are prone to staining, I tend to use vintage sheaffer washable inks in most of my pens. I like the washable colors in blue, melon red, brown, purple and persian rose (of which I am lucky to have a few bottles).

In pens that are not prone to staining, I like the Private Reserve inks, particularly Lake Placid Blue & DC Supershow Blue. Recently, I tried and like the Levenger Always Greener ink.

I have 2 bottles of vintage skrip red here if you'd like them.

Isn't that persian rose just spectacular. I found a NOS 4 oz bottle last month & have fallen in love all over again...lol. I have some Peacock blue left & need to find more. anyone have a source?

Thanks Dennis - I've already several 4 oz bottles of skrip red. Maybe someone else would want (and need it) more than me.

I agree with you oin the Persian Rose - haven't found anything close so far but then again, I haven't really been looking since I have several bottles.

Sorry, can't help you out on the peacock blue, Only have one bottle of it myself.

PR shoreline gold behaves very well in my clear Wality ED and doesn't stain it.

but i'm more of a Blue ink person. i got PR DC supershow blue, sonic blue, midnight blues, naples blue, Diamine BB, Skrip BB, Waterman fla blue, Pelikan Blue (i don't like this one too much and i'm glad it's almost gone). looking forward to buying more blue, but so far nothing more appeals to me.

if you like the waterman FL blue. Try to find some vintage Skrip Peacock Blue. Hard to source but a damn fine color.

I love it, it's such a rich and regal, purple Ceasar himself would wear it if he could. It's got a higher dye saturation, but not as high as say Noodlers/PRinks, slightly thicker than Quink, or Skrip & has wonderful flow. I have yet to find a pen on my bench that it doesn't love.

They are a bit more expensive than your average bear, but IMHO worth every cent.

i don't like waterman fla blue too much... that is, i like�its properties but not the color. so, if skrip peacock B is like the W, then NO!.

i would try Diamine imperial purple... if it's on the bluish side!! can any one post a sample? i know i can go to the seller's sites and see it, but.........

...... don't make me go to FPN for this, please!!! LOL

Peacock, is that same brilliant blue. If you don't like the fl blue color, pass on the peacock.

The Diamine isnt blue at all It's a rich pure purple.

I tend to use pretty wet nibs and most blues are dark blue when I write It doesn't really matter what Shade I try.

I like a washable blue It is easier to get off hands and clothes

I'm the same way. I like a juicy nib & some of the subtle shades are lost in the flood. Just the price we have to pay i guess.

Being left handed a quick drying ink is an essentail. I use noodlers and have found it to be quick drying. The Parker carteridges work great too.� Any other ideas would be helpful.

You can never go wrong with the classics, Parker Waterman or Sheaffer in vintage or modern.

I LOVE Aurora inks.

Dupont has a nice rich black thats pretty fast as well.

Honestly, I don't think of Noodlers as a fast drying ink. Mind you it's 85% of what i use.

The inks I use the most are Aurora Black (a must have - the darkest, most opaque and deepest black ink made in my opinion), followed by Private Reserve Burgundy Mist.� I also frequently use Aurora Blue and Electric DC Blue.� The others are used infrequently as the mood strikes me.

Caution:� Although I love the color, Baystate (a deep, rich blue) will�likely heavily�stain any fountain pen you use it in.� I�used it in a Black Sheaffer Snorkel desk pen with a Triumph nib, and Baystate stained the silver portion of the nib a light blue.� It very lightly stained the gold portion of the nib too.� No damage done as it's a black pen and the nib can easily be polished to remove the staining, but�I definitely would not put this ink in any pen with a "visualated" section/barrel or any light in color pen.

I have a couple of bottles of my signature coor "Lively Green" A mix of 50/50 Vintage Emerald Green & either PR Sherwood or Avacado. Both are close enough it's hard to tell the difference after the mix.

If you have ever been lucky enough to try Parker Penman Emerald, the end color is very similar but doesn't have quite as much 'inner glow' as the Penman does, but still a beautiful color.

Thats pretty much all I see close by. But�I'm sure there are a few more bottles floating around the homestead somewhere.
