I've had a Standard Vacumatic with a star clip from 1939 before but hadn't come across a Senior model until now. I confess that my experience with this model is limited to the few examples that have crossed my path, maybe 15 of them. And then only one that I've cared enough for to keep rather than sell to fund Sheaffer's.
This is a pretty nice pen though. Do any of you Parker folks have any experience with these clips?
The pen measures about 5.3 inches long and .6 inches around the cap just over the cap band. Speedline filler made last quarter of 1938 (8 with no dots)
I've handled hundreds of vacs over the years & seen even more online in pics. The Star clips are pretty dang uncommon to say the least. For every 50 standard vacs I come across, I see MAYBE 1 or 2 star clips. Off the top of my head I don't recall seeing one on a larger model like this one.
It's deff. a keeper!
