Nib Material & Line Width: 14K Waterman's #2 Reg. US Pat. Off.Factory Flexible Broad Stub. The nib is a generous Broad, just shy of BB with no pressure, flexes to a 4B! Just watch the video clip & you'll see what i mean when I say this is a serious nib with a nice big wad-o-tipping on it..

Trim Material: Nickel

Trim Condition: Good plus. There are a couple of minor dark spots around the clip rivets & the end of the filler lever has some oxidation where it meets the end of the lever box that I couldn't get out.

Comments: The chasing is still pretty strong, the color has a dark chocolate tone to it. Overall the pen is in great shape & is such a wonderful writer

Nib Material & Line Width: 14K Sheaffers 46 Special. Rigid Fine Stub. 2:1 line ratio. About a 5-5.5/10 on the wetness scale

Trim Condition: Excellent. There are only 2 very small spots of brassing on the sides of the clip ball. In the pics the spot is in the center of the camera reflection.

Issues: Other than the tiny brassing spots and some very very light overall wear the pen is in superb condition.

Comments: This is a very nice early model balance that doesn't show up too very often in this condition or with this nib.

Clarity: The visuilated section has approx. 20% clarity remaining.

Nib Material & Line Width: Rigid 14K 2 Tone 5 line Lifetime Sheaffers Medium. This nib is incredibly smooth and is one of the top 10 writers I can recall selling in the past year.The nib is a 6/10 on the wetness scale.

Trim Material: Steel/Chrome

Trim Condition: Poor. The clip is speckled with tiny pits as is the filler lever. It's no HORRIBLE but it's definitely there
