Thats awesome Tom. It looks like a fairly large pen, what sort of dimensions does it have? Nib? Pics of the pen open?

The resin looks like the SE Sheaffer used a few years ago & IIRC Bexley has done a pen or 3 in that as well. A friend of mine has an OS Chris Thompson Balance in the same material too. Damn fine choice of material my man.

I also like the fact that the cap band is the cap lip & not just above it.

I wonder, is there a source for "smoky/satin" black trim for a "stealthy" look?

Nah, I don't have any pictures of the pen open nor can I provide dimensions as I no longer have the pen.� The nib was a iridium point two-tone medium.� That is a sharp material for a pen, but man it's hard to work with.� Regarding a darker plating, I suppose black titanium would do the trick.

Wow, Nice pen indeed. I got lucky, I have held this pen and written with it. Tom is one talented artisan and has made some really beautiful pens. I think he should list them on the PT GB, he would sell some there.

By the way Dennis, the pen is in my possession. Maybe when we get together at another KC Pen Club meeting I will let you hold the above pen and let your drool. I love the Jungle Green finish and have several pens in that finish including a Bexley Deluxe and a Parkville Pen Poseidon 2007 LE. plus the giant one you saw earlier at a KC Pen Club meeting, the Bernard Bernolet.

I've always wonderd, how do you cut the cap & barrel threads for a custom pen? Where in the process does it come in, after the barrel/cap finished shape, first before that or is it somewhere else along the line?

Haven't done a whole lot of pen work lately, but I'm on track to do so.� I've done a few rollers and ballpoints, nothing fountain.
My shop is finally done after our move to Iowa earlier this year.� Working on a couple projects that are quite time consuming, but the end result should be worth the effort.�
I'll try and keep posted.

Howdy Tom. Thanks for the update & congrats on the completed shop. I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say, we're eagerly looking forward to another set of pics.

Any advice on the how to cut threads question?

Depending upon the material and components, it's either tap and die or their cut on the lathe.
