Lake Placid Blue is one of my top 5 inks.  I use it almost exclusively in my blue Vanishing Point.  A great ink in a very smooth pen.  What a combination!

I got a snail today that was partiallly written using vintage Skrip.  As another coincidence, I found at an antique place, a 16oz bottle of Scrip in washable black.  It's about a third full and the bottle and label are near mint.  Not bad for $8.95

i like swisher midnight black. it is very black with good flow and lubricating properties... did i mention drying time is less than 3 seconds?

i never tried the lake placid blue. some how it reminds me of the PR midnight blue, only lighter, and i already have that.

my ink of choice?.... man, any of these PR blues: DC Supershow, midnight blues, naples blues, sonic blue... i guess it depends on my mood.

It's a Noodlers ink. I don't see anything washable about it. I very vaguely remember something about Nathan Tardif (creator of Noodlers) having or used to have a prize for anyone who could successfully lift his ink from a check after it had been signed with Noodlers or something like that.

This Noodler's Ink Bottled Fountain Pen Ink is currently available in 36 + colors, making it a very economically priced bottle of fountain pen ink.

We have found the black ink to be extremely water resistant when applied to paper and allowed to dry. However, unlike some permanent inks that will damage your pens if allowed to dry on the nib and feed, this ink can be removed with water (distilled water is recommended if ink is allowed to dry on the nib and feed). None of the other colors are as water resistant as the black, but all were developed to write on most common types of paper without a lot of feathering.

The manufacturer has indicated this ink is safe for use in most fountain pens but may cause staining on some materials.

NOTE: The Black Ink listed here is the same Black Ink listed under the Waterproof Ink.

SWISHER PENS BOTTLED FOUNTAIN PEN INK
Swisher Pens Bottled Fountain Pen Ink was developed for us by Nathan Tardif (he also makes Noodler's ink) as a quick drying ink which was intended for use on good quality paper, Vellum (Rhodia Tablets), Linen (International Paper - Beckett Cambric Writing) and many other types of paper (see list below for our favorite types of paper to use with these inks). It can used on most other grades of paper, but some feathering may occur when used in a pen with a "wet" nib. In our tests, we found the black to be darker than most (if not all) conventional black inks we sell (Noodler's black was the closest). It should also be noted that our ink dries almost instantaneously when used on some types of paper. This has been proven to be very beneficial to left-handed writers. When tested on several popular brand of Vellum, Linen and Pure Cotton papers, our ink took approximately 14 seconds to dry to where it was "smudge" free. When tested on Cambridge writing paper, it took about 2 seconds for this ink to dry. (Drying times may vary due to humidity and type of paper used).

unless i'm missing something, they do mention the water resistance of the noodlers black, but not of the swisher brand... although they are both made by noodlers.
