Bought a Parker 75 ballpoint (silver plate) at the Raleigh pen show last weekend.  I put in a GEL refill and it's just great!

Good move on both of those. You can't go wrong with the beauty of a 75 & the Gel writer is just about the perfect non fp user for me. I've got an Eversharp 5th Avenue CA converted to take Parker Gel's and it's just fantastic.
