HisNibs.com update -- Dollar SP-10 model June 20th, 2014
Dear Norman,
Following the wildly successful re-introduction of the Dollar piston pens http://www.hisnibs.com/717i.htm in the last newsletter, this time I want to introduce another Dollar model -- the SP-10 http://www.hisnibs.com/sp-10.htm.
These tough knock-around pens are perfect for introducing a new user to the joys of fountain pens.
The 55%-off clearance sale continues! I've added some Monteverde Invincia Stylus ballpoints, Delta Fusion 82 rollerballs as well as some Stipula Etruria Rainbow Limited Edition transparent ballpoints. These are all new, old stock pens, and can be found at our clearance page http://www.hisnibs.com/clearance_sale.htm.
These are all mint, single items --and about 55%-off of retail, so the first "I want it" email (mailto:orders@hisnibs.com) gets it, and I'll try to keep the webpage updated with 'sold out' labels as frequently as possible.
As this newsletter goes out to a mailing list of thousands of customers, please understand if there's a delay in answering your email queries or orders after one of these is sent. We will respond in order received and as soon as possible!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Dollar piston-fill fountain pens return!
After an absence of a number of years, a true blast from the past! Here are a couple of testimonials received in the past week.
"Got my dollar pens and inked on last night. I've spent the day writing with it exclusively. Whether it is your inspection/adjustment or serendipity, this is one the smoothest writing (fine) pens in my collection and definitely the smoothest with this fine a point for the money. I set aside my favorite office pen for the dollar today. Thanks for the quick turnaround and great product." K. M., West Columbia, SC
"Just to let you know the "Dollar -- See it all" pen arrived in what seems record time. It fills easily, writes smoothly, and finely enough to please me. What's more, a bargain. Thanks again Norman." M. B., Toronto, Canada
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Dollar SP-10 fountain pens
Like the piston-fill i717, here's another winning -- and inexpensive fountain pen model from Dollar brand. These tough knock-around pens are perfect for introducing a new user to the joys of fountain pens.
Measuring 5-1/2" capped, 6-1/4" posted and about 5" with cap held aside.
Like the 717i this is a bottle-baby only, and will not accept cartridges, as the filler is permanently attached. Instead of the turn-knob and piston of that model, the SP-10 makes use of a syringe filler. Instead of turning a piston like a screw, here you simply press down the plunger to expel air, and slowly pull it out again while the nib is submerged in ink to allow the partial vacuum to suck up the precious fluid and fill the ink reservoir.
I've added some new, old stock pens to a clearance page, as I start spring cleaning. These are all mint, single items -- and about 55%-off of retail -- so the first "I want it" email (mailto:orders@hisnibs.com) gets it, and I'll try to keep the webpage updated with 'sold out' labels as frequently as possible.
