I have just taken delivery of a Conway Stewart 84 that was described as in full working order but once received obviously needs a new sac, so once again need a little help.
On these pens how is the section held in, I have tied gentle warming but that has not helped.
How do you get these pens apart to replace the sac.
I would try a little more heat while rotating the pen / section, then turn the section counterclockwise while pulling at the same time, but mainly twisting it to see if it is threaded. Have you read Ron Zorn's article at Maintstreet pens on Heat. It's a GREAT article! You do not! Want to over heat this pen! And do not water soak it! If the heat gets to be to much for your fingers, you have gone too far with the heat! Keep rotating the section and then if need be use your clamps to hook up to the pen, making sure you have not over heated it, and then twist counterclockwise!........
Keep us posted on your status as you progress, or even lack of progression, ok?
