I have been thinking about how to not only start this post, but how to convey just what it and the content behind it truly mean to me and my family. The words that most often come to my mind are 'unending gratitude, life changing and new beginnings'.

It is these that represent everything in and around my life. Everyone knows about my mental state. The unfortunate, previously unmediated and the amazing medicated present. My lung issues are continuing to improve, I still have emphysema but not as bad as the toxic mold made it out to be.

This may sound cliche, but I understand now whats behind the light and look of new life you often find in the eyes of a survivor. I never really did before.

I've reconnected and bonded with my oldest son Alex after being separated for more than 18 years. I wake up every morning with gratitude and joy knowing I get to share and experience the day with my family and friends. There are so many positive personal changes going on that I cant talk about, but know that the good juju is seriously free flowing around these parts.

Someone who's advice I trust once said to me, A new life usually comes with a new job. I listened, thought about it, sought advice, enlisted help, followed what I knew to be the right path for me and made it happen. So my friends it is with some of the greatest pride I have known, I present to you The Savage Pen Company and offer these words as a guide to where this company was born and where it is going.

The Savage Pen company:

Our beginnings as human beings go back to two great achievements, the creation of the first tools-- axes and simple blades made of stone, obsidian and flint--and the first art--handprints and paintings on cave walls, animals carved from bone, and marks and symbols that would later become writing. We call these times beyond history "savage" or "primitive," but when we hold a beautifully carved stone tool we know we are touching elegance and our deepest roots.

Dennis,

Besides the commercial success that this new project is hopefully going to have, it is already a personal success for you, and that is the most important thing.

I wasn't aware neither of your emphysema nor your eldest son. I can't say much about the second thing, but I have worked for a oxygen therapy company (yes, the one that hires oxygen concentrator machines, oxygen metering devices, and oxygen tubes with people with lung troubles). I know that mostly everyone that sees you in person thinks you are both lazy and dumb (people with low oxygen level usually sleep a lot, don't have much activity, and forget things, as our brains require a lot of oxygen to work properly), which is totally unfair (and unkind, of course).

I wish you the very best with this, ... and look forward to see some pics in the near future!!

A couple of clues.

The prototype has been made of billet aluminum.

The pen (s) are eye dropper fillers.

ink volumes are:

3.5ML, 9ML, 13.5ML and a Goliath 18ML desk set

Just be careful of the epoxy you're using.  Depending on what color it dries/ cures to could be a problem.

We've thought of that. The beauty of the basic design is that all 'seams/joints' are covered/hidden.
