Well after I had it all done and in the mail I really missed that pen. I really liked the idea of being able to change the nibs to match what you are doing. As it was to late to tell Frank that my dog ate his pen I had to make one for myself. From Frank I had learned it was a J style pen, so off on the hunt I went. I found one with no clip and a cracked cap but the section was great with the original sack with the name still on it. So far I have left the sack on it and for now will use it as a bulb filler. I still have to finish off the ends and install a clip but so far here she is.

So now I guess the hunt is on for more nibs. Thanks Frank LOL
All you would have to do Frank is to remove the converter and install a sack on the section. When I do these I use a clear sack so I can see the ink level. As well after the 1st squeeze I turn it nib up and squeeze the air out and while holding the sack compressed insert it into the ink again to draw in the most ink. I am able to fill the sack right full and see the ink level.
Still a great idea! No need worry about a "vacuum" effect the way you fill it!
No, I am quite happy with the converter setup! I'm glad you talked me into it! It's good to know that I can remove it to replace it and/or the sac though!

you know it would be simple to craft a sac protector & use a large J bar to act as a squeeze filler. Tube that fits over sac nipple~ cut out a place for your thumb (about 1/2 way dow) to press the J bar thats inside the tube and above the sac. Also if you drill a 1.5 MM wide & 1/8" deep hole in the back of the feed and then another through the top of the feed's ink channels to connect the 2. Then you can place a breather tube that fits down the full length of the sac (= 100%fill every time) AND it'll be safe enough to take when flying if that's a factor.
