Though my taste in fountain pens is changing.  To what, I don't know yet!  I began collecting years and years ago, recently gave away over 60 fountain pens, bought a few, returned most of them (sad story, details later), and now have a buying moratorium (no! really!) until I can get a Sailor 1911 with either Zoom or Music nib.

Happy to be here.  I'll take a glance around.

O hai, everyone! Lots of familiar faces, I see.

Ah, well, the returned pens... I'd heard so much about the Namiki Falcon and its 'flex' nib that I ordered one. Whoa! I was NOT expecting a pen this flimsy and cheap-feeling! At more than ten times the price of a 78G, I thought it would seem, well, not as cheap. The nib felt rubbery, chalky, unresponsive. Back it went.

Then I got two low-end Waterman pens and after testing, thought, meh. I thought they'd write nicely and be more like the Pelikano Jr. and Lamy ABC---a nice friendly school pen. But those, too, felt cheapy-cheap, and you're talkin' to someone who actually likes cheap pens.

So for now I'll use the many, many other pens I've accumulated over the years, and wait till the time is right to find that Sailor 1911.

Cheap Waterman school pens, SK?
Perhaps the Kulturs???
I worked on one recently and it had the smallest nib tip I'd ever seen, and it was supposed to be a Medium!
Was a true PITA to make a specialty nib from, not the stuff of custom nib dreams to be sure, hope to never, ever, see another for nib customizing!
Cost @ $25 in the U.S. and Waterman CS told me they're dirt cheap overseas, made to teach children how to write with a fountain pen.
Heck-fire, even the tiny little LAMY abc pens are 99X the pen a Kultur is, IMO!!!
Kulturs, bleh..., they look cool in the Demo version but total garbage for the price in my opinion.

Actually it was an even cheaper pen than the Kultur, I had never seen such a pen before, and don't recall the name, but it had a shiny metallic blue body, plus orange plastic clip and section that felt as cheap as the ones on Stypen Creeks. Only the Creeks are fi-dollar pens, so that's kind of expected.

Heya bud'!!!

Have you seen the animated version?
I've seen this Avy long time ago, just re-found it in a .gif format for your viewing pleasure [that is if it works as animated]...
