Part of the admin board features is a refferral tracking page that shows where someone came from just before visiting us. I had the sparklit guys reset the numbers last week so I could get an idea of where folks were coming from and that sort of thing. Here are the results.

Refering URLs

When a user clicks through from another site to your Active Board, the system automatically records the last page that was visited just prior to arriving at your forum (the referring url). Typically these are pages which link to your forum or otherwise direct traffic there.

The refering URL is a variable which is passed by the user's browser to our servers as part of their request for a forum page. This information is optional and voluntary-- no invasive tracking is used, and in no way is the user's privacy comprimised. Any extra parameters included in the url using the "get" method are removed automatically.

That is interesting.
I see most "Hits" are from Google, even see some that were Linked from that other forum and pen selling Sites.
Seeing Hits from blogs and even e-mail Servers, places all over the World, pretty cool.
Good to see that Todds' isellpens Site Link has at least a few Hits to here, he's a good guy I've had the pleasure of dealing with a few times.

you should have sen the stats before they were reset. I wish I'd saved a copy. You would have been VERY surprised to see where a lot of the hits came from.

Todd has a link to us on his site. He's an awesome cat to work with & has fantastic prices. I've been trying to get him on board as a sponsor for a couple of years. I'll keep talking to him & will win him over in the end with my charms, because I'm just so pretty...lol.

I just had to upgrade our billing services for the first time.

As part of the sites monthly billing we get 10,000 page views for free. Then are charged a very small .0005 cents per extra page view.

Our views last month were: 35,657

I gave us plenty of room to grow before we have to upgrade again. Unfortunately, as we grow so do the board fees. (an extra $7 a month from where we were)

The site has a small credit remaining from our last round of donations, but it's close to depletion. If you can donate a few bucks for our monthly fee and to keep us ad free everyone would be grateful.
