This is a Wearever supreme from the mid/late 50's - early 60's. It originally sold for .29 cents(later went up to .49 cents).
These are the cheapest of the cheap pens they made, soft plastic barrel, plated 14K nib & a plated cap that scratches if you break wind too hard while standing next to it. Oddly enough some of these can be decent writers if you spend some time adjusting/smoothing the nib.
$54 plus close to $10 for shipping out of the UK. I almost feel sorry for the single bidder. They are going to be really let down when they get this one home, buit IMHO, they should have done their research before buying.
Take this one as a lesson learned gang. Never pay more than $15-20 for one of these even if it's in mint condition. $10 is closer to the fair price mark.

The only thing I can offer you, Dennis, for a trade is a 2007 Parker Vector FP OR some cheap Dutch made FP's. They come on a blister with some free cartridges. Interested?
$ 0.29. I knew they were that cheap; but how on earth could they produce them that cheap!

At their height of production (from what i'm told) in the mid 60's they were cranking out nearly a half million of these a week. The quality controls on these simply didn't exist.
I have a similar "Saber" model that has 2 clips stamped one on top of the other.
Dutch pens huh? Dont believe I've ever seen one of them before. Shoot me a PM with your address & I'll put together a couple of Wearevers for you.
