I'm selling this pen on eBay and I thought I put up the pictures as this is a very odd thing. The band on the pen is 14k solid gold and is so marked. Have you ever seen another like it?
I've seen a lot of Duofolds in all colors over the years but don't ever recall seeing a band stamped 14K before.
However, I have seen the same style band on other os flat top pens with the same 14K stamp/font before.
Give it a REALLY close look. Does it appear that the band is a bit off on the fit/finish compared to other duofolds? Any chance this is a replacement cap band?
Regardless, thats a sweet pen my man! Let us know what it finishes off for.
Dennis

I'm thinking it was a replacement to cover up the small nick or two found on the cap lip. The wild thing is the quality of the band. It looks as good as anything factory I've seen in 14k bands
the best way to know is to read the duofold book which may certainly have the correct answer to say whether the pen is period correct or guenine or not. I am more thinking of an add on but without serious proof or a parker catalogue from the streamlined duofold era I can't affirm anything.
