Howdy, group!

I found this in a local antique mall this afternoon:

What I don't know is whether that black Jotter pen belongs to that "Spherix" base, and whether it's missing a trim ring between the cap and barrel. It has a working fine blue T-ball refill in it, and fine threads. The bottom has a maker's sticker:

The company is sort of still in existence at 88 Lincoln Street in Brockton, Massachusetts (you can see the neat old brick building on Google Street View, including a faded "R.R. Scheibe" sign if you look up a bit), but has been owned by another company since the mid-1980s. The one link I found for "www.scheibeco.com" doesn't work.

In any event, I think the $5.95 price was so low simply because the trumpet was flopping around (the screw holding it to the ball was *very* loose).
