Links not working correctly?

Frank, the link button in the toolbar remains greyed out until I click the "select all" button to its right. I don't think that's the way it should work ...

I have noticed that as well (when you are posting, and using "Advanced"??)!

I will check with the host here to see if that can be changed/corrected!

As far as they can see, the links are working correctly!

Mike, let me know if this is still a problem!

As for posting images-

Help from our host on posting/attaching images:
(Better than I have ever explained it!)

As far as posting images, here is a set of notes I've compiled for you:
-----------------------------------
Posting Images on Activeboard
The are two ways an image can be added to a forum post:
1) Adding the image as an attachment
2) Inserting the image in the post as part of the text content
To perform either of those, the image has to be uploaded to the host.
You can do so by:
- Click Attach images button just below the reply box
- Browser to the location of the image on your machine
- Click Open
Now you should be able to see a new entry under the reply box in the
format:
Imagename size [Remove] [insert]
example: original.jpg 21KB [enlever] [insert]
This means that the image has been attached to the post. That is all you
have to do if you would like to add the image as an attachment.
If you want your image inserted in the post, simply click the "Insert"
link.
-----------------------------------

Cheers,

Sparklit Support

Links work once they're added; it's *creating* links that are problematic.

I can only add a link by using the "Select All" button in the toolbar first, then the "Link" and "Unlink" buttons become available. This means that the link has to be the first thing accomplished, and only afterward can other text be added. Adding a second (or third, etc.) link is impossible without going to the HTML edit tab.

Frank,

It's now working if I click that button to Select All, then just reselect the bit I want to make into a link. If it was working this way before, I missed noticing it.
