Propelling pencil ID?
Permalink Closed

Howdy, gang!

I picked this little thing up on eBay, and the only markings on it are "900" on the clip (presumably the silver content), and "PATENT-G.F." ("Gebrüder Fend?") on the inner barrel and on the paddle of the pusher. I would swear I've seen an article about this design, or one very similar, just recently, but I'm drawing a blank.

Note that the pusher comes completely out the back and the lead can be loaded from there, similar to Autopoint, DurOLite, et al.

Anyone?

Man, it's been quiet here! For lack of evidence to the contrary, I'm calling this a Fend until proven otherwise.

Definitely not American, which pulls it a bit outside of my area of expertise. However, I have seen that mechanism on British pencils marked "Lifelong."

So, at least two possibilities, then.
