Hello, everyone!

I've just found this forum while trying to buy some Regisrar's ink! I thought I ought to introduce myself to us "fellow scribblers'; I use the Registrar's ink for keeping the records at our local church in Barnet and I'm also a big fan of Parker 51 pens! I'm still using my late grandmother's Parler 51, a maroon one with a gold cap, although I don't put the Registrar's ink in it, as I've heard that it can damage the rubber bladder in them. Instead I use a Lamy "Safari", with an italic nib for keeping the records.

Looking forward to hearing all about fountain pens here....... I've also found the Stephens Museum in Finchley, just down the road from me; I'm off for a visit on my next day off!

Welcome to the community Andrew!

There are a lot of pen world goings on in the UK. I know the 'writing equipment society' is based over there, you should give them a message and join their group. They are a great bunch of folks!

Can you tell us about your pen experiences in the UK?

Looking forward to reading your posts.

Dennis

I spent some time yesterday afternoon at the Stephens Exhibition in Finchley, north London. It's a small exhibition, consisting of only one large room, but there are plenty of things to see, particularly the different colours of ink manufactured by the firm. If you're in the area it's worth a look! I bought some postcards & made a contribution to the museum. Incidentally, the company is now owned by the Japanese Mitsubushi company!

I wish I'd known about the Stephens Exhibition in Finchley when we'd been living over there :) We were boarding with friends in Finchley at the time!!! Thanks for telling us about it. Wow - Mitsubishi now?!
